Your child loves to climb up anything they can? You want them to try out rock climbing? You've come to the right place. Read through our options below and find out how you can get them started.
The Trublue initiation will allow you to use our auto-belays.
What is an auto-belay? It is a system that allows you to climb safely at heights without having to take the Climbing 101 course. You will then be able to supervise your children while they climb the autobelays.
Please note that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompagnied by an adult while using the auto-belays. Minors 16 and over may use the auto-belays without supervision only if they have a top rope accreditation at Allez Up.TRUBLUE INITIATION
Bouldering is a discipline of rock climbing that does not involve ropes. The walls are much smaller and climbers fall on mats instead of being attached to ropes.
A course is not required to boulder at Allez Up, so it's a great way to try climbing for the first time.
Please note that children 14 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Our summer day camp is a multisport camp with a focus on climbing. All sports and activities will be practiced in a safe and inclusive environment, respecting every child’s experience and skill level, all with small groups (high ratio of monitors to campers).
With 4 hours of climbing related activities every day, your children are guaranteed to progress and have fun.REGISTER
We have two Discovery groups: one for our youngest Allez Up athletes (7-11 year olds) and one for teenagers between the ages of 12 and 15. The children are exposed to all the different types of climbing that are accessible at Allez Up in a safe and inclusive environment, respcting every child's experience and skill level. No previous climbing experience is required.
It's a 1.5-2 hour lesson a week and registration can be done by semester (Fall/Winter).
While there is no minimum age to climb, the minimum age to participate in all our kids activities is 6 years old.
Comfortable loose or flexible clothing is most recommended. You can wear a closed, clean and dry shoe instead of the climbing shoes. Long hair must be tied back.
A waiver must be signed for each climber. For climbers under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign. All waivers will need to be renewed every 3 years. You can fill out your waiver online or at the gym.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to provide an eating area for birthday parties. You are welcome to bring small groups to climb during our walk-in sessions!
On-street parking is available around the gym. We also have 6 parking spots by the back entrance to the gym.
