ROUTESETTER

Allez Up is looking to expand its team of setters. We are therefore now accepting applications for the position of part-time setter. Allez Up is looking for highly motivated, dynamic and creative people to join the route setter team.

As such, we are looking for Route Setters who are passionate about creating movement and enthusiastic about creating a positive climbing experience for our community.

Create thoughtful and varied movement experiences while respecting the Aller Up setting standards.

Efficiently choose the best selection of holds for the chosen wall inclination.

Work collaboratively with the team, laying out routes/boulders within the limits of your climbing ability.

Climb and test routes/boulders providing clear and constructive feedback to your peers

Modify routes/boulders as needed based on team feedback

Comply with safety standards for working at height.

Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Effectively manage your time and meet established daily quotas

Check the safety equipment on the walls

Storing holds and volumes

Promote a positive customer experience

Build relationships with members and guests

REQUIRED

Ability to communicate effectively

Have a sense of observation

Friendly personality, open-minded character

Be able to seek and accept, as well as give critical feedback in a professional manner

Experience in a similar or relevant field

A strong work ethic and positive attitude

Strong passion for climbing

Understand climbing moves up to 5.12a and V6

 

FAVORITED

Skills in the disciplines of bouldering, sport climbing and traditional climbing

Rope work and knowledge of safety maneuvers

Experience in opening commercial routes and boulders

Understanding of climbing competitions

License to drive a forklift and aerial work platform

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Availability during the day

The employee will frequently perform work at height using climbing equipment, rigging and/or ladders.

In the performance of his duties, the employee must frequently go up and down stairs.

Constantly standing and walking for long periods of time

Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull and carry over 50 lbs.

Climb, pull, crouch, crawl, balance and kneel

The applicant is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when performing applicable duties
