Every first Sunday of the month, we organize climbing workshops for climbers who want to learn or develop their skills.
The workshops will take the form of classes, coaching sessions, lectures... and will be run by Allez UP coaches and in collaboration with other professionals.
SUNDAY, MARCH. 9TH - 4:30PM / 6:30PM - ALLEZ UP MILE END
PREPARATION FOR THE MILE END SEND - PART 2: INTRO TO BOULDERING COMP
Are you preparing for your first bouldering competition? Want to develop your strategy and boost your confidence for future comps? In this two-part workshop, our coaches will help you work on your technique, mindset, and confidence through a variety of exercises:
• Time management during competitions: How to allocate your time effectively across problems to maximize your performance.
• Understanding scoring systems: A breakdown of common competition scoring systems and how to approach them strategically.
• Climb selection: Tips for evaluating and prioritizing problems to efficiently build your score. • Beta reading and visualization: Developing your ability to analyze climbs visually and mentally plan sequences.
• Stress management and mindset: Learn techniques to stay calm, focused, and confident under high-pressure situations. This includes breathing exercises, turning competition stress into excitement, and strategies to bounce back from mistakes.
Each session includes practical exercises and realistic scenarios created by our expert coaches, along with personalized guidance and training recommendations. These tools will help you strengthen your confidence and focus in competition settings.
By the end of the two workshops, with a solid foundation and a clear strategy, climbers will feel ready to reach their goals at the Mile End Send competition, happening soon at our Mile End gym.

ELLEVATE MEETUPS - This is a series of monthly climbing meetups designed to bring women climbers together in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Each meetup will take place on specific dates, times, and locations (we’ll keep you updated via Allez UP’s social media). A coach will be present to guide the group, provide personalized tips, and climb with the participants, offering an interactive and enriching experience.
Designed as a “women’s night,” these meetups aim to promote inclusivity for climbers, whether they’re new or regulars, within our community. The goal is to build a dynamic and united crew in our gyms.
The meetups are free for our members (day pass price for non-members).
