RECREATIONAL & OPEN SCRAMBLE RESULTS : HERE

THE BOULDERING COMP - PARTICIPATE IN JACKALOPE

The bouldering competition will take the form of a Scramble and will bring together climbers of all levels in 2 categories:

  • RECREATIONAL: intermediate to advanced climbers - yellow to red (V0 à V7)
  • OPEN: expert climbers - red to white (V8 et +)

On an 80-foot portable wall, our team will set 30 qualifying boulder problems so you can give it a try and maybe even qualify for the finals.

THE FINALE - A SHOW!

The 12 finalists (6 women and 6 men) in the OPEN category with the best results during the qualifiers will face off in an ultimate "rush" format battle on Saturday evening, September 14.

The finals will proceed as follows: divided into 2 waves of 3 climbers, without isolation, the finalists will have to complete as many problems as possible to get on the podium and try to win the title of Jackalope 2024 champion and a share of the $10,000 prize.

Designed for Jackalope, this format guarantees a final like a show, where every attempt is crucial, and the intensity is pushed to the max. Last summer was crazy, and this final gathered the largest crowd ever seen in Canada for a climbing competition. So, save the date - cause, it's free for the public.

SPEED BOULDERING COMP

Want to try a new competition format?

Let’s do it! This year, we’re offering a variation of speed climbing: Speed Bouldering - It’s speed climbing but on a bouldering wall. As with the routes, the problems will be side by side and identical. The objective is simple: the first one to top the problem wins the duel.

The "matches" take place live with a lot of intensity! Like the scramble, speed climbing is open to everyone (the problems will be of moderate difficulty: blue tape / V4). The rules are simple:

1/ the tournament: you will first be randomly drawn into one of the 4 qualifying groups (16 spots for women / 24 spots for men)

2/ the qualifications: you will need to compete against all members of your group at least once. Then, the top 2 from each group will advance to the finals.

3/ the finals: the finalists will face off in a 1-to-1 format - the winner will move on to the next duel - until we have a champion!
