The accreditation is a test in which the climber proves to our staff that he/she understands the responsibility involved in belaying another climber and can demonstrate that he/she is absolutely at ease with the equipment, knots, belay technique and communications with the climber.
An accreditation is required at Allez Up if you want to belay other climbers. An accreditation is NOT required if you only want to boulder.
You must be at least 14 years old in order to be allowed to do an accreditation (top rope, 16 yo for lead) in our gym.
Conditions apply for climbing.
Top rope accreditations do not require a reservation (first come, first served).
They are "pass or fail" format and are non-refundable.
This service is offered Mon-Fri from 10am to 8pm and Sat-Sun from 10am to 5pm. We are happy to make exception whenever we can but cannot guarantee it will always be the case.
*$7,50 upon presentation of a valid accreditation card from another climbing centre or with proof of completion of an outdoor climbing course from a qualified guide
**$13,50 if proof of accreditation from another gym or guide is not available.
A reservation is needed in order to pass a lead accreditation. Tests are "pass or fail" format and are non-refundable.
You will need a partner who is able to lead climb (someone who needs to do the test or is an accredited member).
