The goal of this group is to introduce children to rock climbing in a safe and playful environment.
The athletes are exposed to rope climbing and bouldering in a group setting that is dynamic and stimulating. The children are encouraged to test their limits and learn new skills that will help them in both their climbing and the rest of their active lives. By the end of the course, they will have a basic understanding of the skills used in climbing.
At Allez Up, believe that younger kids maximize their chances to discover a passion in sports if they engage in a diversity of physical activities. Our goal is to create an environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning how to stay active. This course includes skill development lessons, practical application, and climbing related games.
*Please note, this year we have merged the Discovery and the Teen Discovery (Development) groups into one. This will allow us to better group the athletes based on their abilities.

The objective of this group is to help athletes discover and learn how to compete. The introduction to competition group is also meant for those who are unsure if they want to compete, and would like to get a better understanding of how competitions work.
Participants in this group will continue to build upon the technical skills they learned in the Discovery program, and acquire competition specific strategies. This program aims to develop the athlete’s climbing proficiency, competitive knowledge, and stress management strategies. The group will engage in training activities both on and off the climbing wall, including climbing drills, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
There is an emphasis on teaching athletes how to translate their performance during practice to friendly local competitions. They will have the chance to apply their skills through two bouldering competitions and two top rope competitions in the Montreal region, accompanied by their coaches.
Our goal is to cultivate a supportive and low-pressure environment where athletes can climb, train, and develop their competitive skills.
